Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026.
Anela builds, hosts and publishes websites and apps from what you describe. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Anela, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers anela.ai, the Anela app and the hosting of the sites you publish with us. It does not cover the information that the sites and apps you build collect from their own visitors: you decide what your site collects, and you are responsible for it.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, profile picture and sign-in method. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider, so we never see or store your password.
- Your content: the projects you create, the messages you send the AI builder, the files and images you attach, your settings, and any API keys or credentials you add to a project, which we store encrypted.
- Usage information: how you use Anela, including the models you choose and the credits you spend, and technical details such as your IP address, browser and device, which we use to keep the service working and secure.
- Payment information: your plan and purchase history. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never store your card number.
- Support and feedback: what you send us when you report a problem, ask for help or rate a reply.
- Invites: when you sign up with someone's invite link, we record who invited you. They see your first name and whether you have joined or built your first app; when you make a purchase, they see that someone they invited made one, but not who. If you invite people, anyone who opens your link sees your first name unless you turn that off on your Referrals page. To prevent abuse, your browser keeps an unreadable code for the accounts that signed in on it, for up to 400 days.
2. How we use information
- To provide Anela: build, preview, host and publish your projects, keep you signed in and bill your plan.
- To keep Anela safe and reliable: detect fraud and abuse, fix problems, and understand how the builder performs so we can improve it.
- To communicate with you: answer your questions and send notices about your account and the service.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping the accounting records the law requires.
We do not sell your information or show ads inside Anela. We use advertising measurement to learn which campaigns bring people who create accounts and use Anela.
3. AI models and your prompts
Anela is powered by third-party AI models. When you send a message to the builder, that message, the relevant parts of your project and any attachments are sent to an AI model provider through OpenRouter, so it can generate the reply and the code. Model providers process that data under their own terms, and OpenRouter publishes each provider's data policy. Questions you ask the help assistant are answered by an AI model provider too. When you dictate a message with the microphone, the recording is sent to a speech-to-text provider through OpenRouter to write your words, and we do not keep it. We do not train AI models on your prompts, your projects or your secrets.
4. How we share information
We share information with the service providers that help us run Anela: hosting and infrastructure, isolated build environments, sign-in, payments, email, the AI model providers described above, encrypted backups and advertising measurement providers. We limit measurement information to the events and matching fields described above. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect Anela and its users from fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, secure sign-in, open project previews and remember your language. On our public website, Google Ads and OpenAI advertising tools also use cookies and conversion events to measure our campaigns. Where measurement is allowed, our website and servers share actions such as account creation and paid subscriptions, advertising identifiers and hashed account identifiers. We honor Global Privacy Control and saved measurement preferences. Your browser also stores small preferences such as your theme and the model you last used.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide Anela. Your account and your content stay while your account exists, and you can delete your account at any time from your settings. When you do, your projects and personal information are deleted. Afterwards we keep only what is essential: the billing records the law requires and the limited records needed to keep Anela secure and working.
7. Security
Every project runs in its own isolated environment. Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest, secrets are stored encrypted, and access inside our team is limited to what is needed to run the service. One limit to know: a key you add to a project is available to the AI builder working on that project, so use keys you can rotate. If we learn of a security incident that affects you, we will let you know.
8. Where your information is processed
Anela operates from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
9. Your rights and choices
You can download any project as a zip and delete your account from the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you can also ask us to access, correct, export, delete or restrict your personal information, object to certain processing, or complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
10. Children
Anela is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Anela evolves. We will post the new version here with its date, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email.
